William Tayeebwa Joins The Class Of Stanford Who's Who
Stanford Who's Who proudly welcomes William Tayeebwa to the distinguished ranks of leading professionals as a result of his exceptional effort in education.

MONTREAL, QC, CANADA, November 9, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who proudly welcomes William Tayeebwa to the distinguished ranks of leading professionals as a result of his exceptional effort in education. Throughout his brilliant professional and educational career, William has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision and perseverance necessary to be mentioned among the elite.

As a development communication policy researcher, William's task is to conduct cutting-edge qualitative and quantitative research for NGOs, Governments and International Development agencies to inform development policy for Africa. Within the next few years, he will be a university professor in the field of international communication as well as mass media and peacebuilding. Mr. Tayeebwa will also be a policy researcher for international development agencies in the areas of peacebuilding, environment/energy, health (HIV/AIDS), and agriculture.

William is currently pursuing a PhD in Communication Studies at Concordia University. His impressive collegiate career started at Catholic Major Seminary in Tanzania, Switzerland and France, where he studied Philosophy and Spirituality. William went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University and a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Oslo. In 2008, he won Canada's most prestigious Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarship to support his research on "The Prospects and Challenges of Radio for Peacebuilding in Burundi and Northern Uganda."

Mr. Tayeebwa has worked at Makerere University, teaching development communication; environmental journalism; media ethics; public affairs reporting; photojournalism; information management; computer aided research and reporting (CARR). He also taught CARR, newspaper design using Adobe InDesign, and website development using Macromedia Dreamweaver at the National University of Rwanda. In addition, William taught International Communication and Development; Media and Culture; and HIV/AIDS and Development at Concordia University.

William started his career in journalism as a student intern at The Crusader in 1996. He also interned with The New Vision and The Monitor. In addition, Mr. Tayeebwa served as an Editor for numerous professional/institutional magazines and newsletters in Uganda as well as student publications in Norway and Canada. He has provided commentary and analysis on key media issues for the British Broadcasting Service, German Broadcasting Service, Voice of America, and several radio and television stations in Montreal.
