Rev. Lillian Elizabeth Barnhardt Israel offers spiritual support and comfort to cancer Over Comers and anyone affected by cancer through F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Christian Cancer Care, Inc., which she co-founded with the renown Oncologist Morris S. Dees, III, M.D. F.R.I.E.N.D.S., or "Friends Respond in Every Need Doing Something," is a nonprofit organization that provides free professional support services, including counseling and support groups, education, financial assistance and practical help. Rev. Lillian Elizabeth Barnhardt Israel is the Web administrator, author, and co-designer of the organization's website.

Rev. Lillian Elizabeth Barnhardt Israel is the author of the book "Friends in High Places," a Christian guide to fighting and overcoming cancer that is scheduled for publication release on Dec. 6, 2011. She teaches and counsels young adult and adult women in her role as Women's Minister at Beaches Chapel Church. Moreover, she started the Beaches Labor Day 5K Run/Walk with F.R.I.E.N.D.S. in Atlantic Beach to benefit cancer care.

Attributing her success to her belief that it is her purpose to help people, Rev. Lillian Elizabeth Barnhardt Israel became involved in her current activities five years ago because she is a Stage 3 cancer Over Comer, and she understands the importance of spiritual support and positivity in addition to medical treatment.

Rev. Lillian Elizabeth Barnhardt Israel received a Master's Degree in Christian Counseling from Covington Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Biblical Studies. She is also an Ordained Minister. Rev. Elizabeth Barnhardt Israel is in the process of completing a Doctorate of Religious Studies. In five years, she hopes to continue to promote her organization, help people, and promote positive attitudes and healing through spiritual well being and a hands on approach. She does this while working with the medical profession to provide hope and excellent care.
