Triangle Writers Opens Summer Writing Workshops in Raleigh-Durham
The Triangle Writers Group announces their summer writing workshops, which will take place in June and July in the greater Raleigh area.

Writers of all genres are welcome in workshops focused on imagery, writing for magazines and learning about syndication. Three workshops are offered: Images and Imagination - Write the Visual, and Writing for Magazines 101 and 201.
Images and Imagination - Write the Visual will be held on Saturday, June 25th at 10:30AM. This workshop will explain how to uncover stories in everyday life that most people are oblivious to. Film stills and random photographs will be used to convey hidden stories.
Writing for Magazines and Newspapers 101 will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 10:30AM. This workshop is ideal for those with little or no writing credits who want to break into feature writing, learn how to contact editors and create compelling query letters. Writers will take home query letters that were successful in achieving publication in national and local markets.
Writing for Magazines and Newspapers 201 will be held on Saturday, July 30th at 10:30AM. This workshop is for journalists who want to break into bigger markets, learn syndication steps, how to be paid for re-print rights and where to follow the latest trends. Writers will take home query letters that were successful in acquiring re-print credits.
All writing workshops will take place at The Oaks at Weston Clubhouse, 1000 Henrico Lane, Morrisville, NC 27560. Workshops are $35.00 for Triangle Writers members and $40.00 for non-members. Advanced registration is required and can be made at www.taralynnegroth.com. Brunch is included with the workshop fee. An assortment of freshly baked cinnamon raisin pecan bread, fresh berry scones, tender croissants, pain au chocolat and hearth-baked rolls from La Farm Bakery will be served with morning spreads and European butter. Bottled water and La Farm's signature coffee blend from Counter Culture Coffee will also be served.
