Inspired Thoughts That Speak to the Pain and Perseverance of Surviving a World Not Made to Fit The Mold of a Fairy Tale Ending
New Book, the story of one man's life written on the canvas of a poetry backdrop.
IRVING, TX, May 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Have you ever stood in front of your mirror and asked yourself, "What am I doing with my life?" Have you ever had a moment when you felt there was something else you should be doing and deep inside you felt you had more to give to the world? This collection of poetic works is an excursion through the many journeys of life.
From an impoverished childhood in the projects to graduating at the top of his class and garnering a full scholarship to Southern Methodist University (SMU), Efrem Lynch has known the lowest of lows and the highest of highs. Writing under the penname E. Arabis Zemill, Efrem tells his life's story through poetry in his new book Thoughts in Vision.
The powerful poems explore racism and social consciousness, love and romance, the ongoing struggles of our youth and the need to find common ground for all of humanity...before it's too late.
"[The poet's] wisdom, love and inspiration are like sitting on the beach and watching the sun rise. Now [Efrem] is the one to rise," says Monica Johnson, VP, Epitome Magazine.
E. Arabis Zemill recently received the coveted Best Spoken Word Artist award from Epitome Magazine and will be a featured chef on June 19, 2011 in Dallas, TX at the Real Men Cook national fundraiser on Father's Day. In addition to cooking his succulent Ode to My Mother Smothered Chicken, he will be performing a selection of his poetic works, including Ode to My Mother.
Told in three parts--Shades of Love, A Poetic Look at Life, and Inspired Thoughts--Efrem's poetry will leave the reader with a renewed sense of purpose - inspired to share his words with someone else to lift a troubled spirit and to inspire a hungry mind.
