SAN DIEGO, CA, January 27, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In an interview with Manufacturing Digital, Mecachrome Canada's Vice President and General Manger Pierre Ayotte describes how the aero structure manufacturing company is carrying out its vision of becoming a Tier 1 Integrator.
To become Tier 1, all of the capabilities have been put in place from engineering, machining and assembling in the 170,000 square foot plant. Mecachrome also has its own paint shop, which will allow it to move quickly to vertically integrate itself on all fronts.
Ayotte says, "We've backed ourselves with great suppliers to provide redundancy and have layered a third dimension to create strategic relationships with other local companies to feed the concept that we can provide better, faster and completive price to customers." By integrating technology, lean, six sigma and strategic relationship building, Mecachrome Canada is on the fast track to carrying out its Tier 1 vision. Read the full company report here.
