Located in Ontario, Haldimand is looking to take advantage of the Ontario Green Energy Act by attracting green energy companies and industries to the area, particularly companies focused on wind and solar energy. "We currently have proposed 200 windmills within the community as well as 1000 acres of solar panels," says Boyle in the interview.

Though the county has a strong agricultural history, it is looking to develop its industrial sector. While this transition would be slow and arduous in other municipalities, Haldimand has the ability to address issues and mobile its workforce quickly.
